Thank you for purchasing the Litter-Robot 4 by Whisker self-cleaning litter box. We hope you’re
happy with your product.

This warranty is provided by Rickman Trade Latvijas filiāle and is valid in the territory of Latvia.
The warranty applies only to units purchased from Whisker’s official representative or authorized
distributors.

To avoid any unnecessary inconvenience, we recommend reviewing the user manual before
contacting your reseller. If you need assistance or have any questions, feel free to reach out to

Your Warranty

This warranty covers:

  • Damage caused by accidents, provided that:
    • The damage is due to a design or manufacturing defect that prevents the device or its
      parts from working according to the manufacturer’s requirements;
    • The damage is caused unintentionally (including through negligence), assuming
      the device was used according to the manufacturer’s instructions and not misused.
      Examples of accidental damage:

      • Dropping the device while moving it from one room to another;
      • Accidental physical damage caused by a cleaner;
      • A guest tripping and falling on the device, causing it to break;
  • Power surges;
  • Mechanical and electrical failures;
  • Software support for the Whisker app.

Rickman Trade Latvijas filiāle guarantees that the unit is free from material and workmanship
defects for the period outlined in Section 4, starting from the date of purchase. If a defect occurs
during the warranty period, Rickman Trade Latvijas filiāle will replace the device or any defective
parts free of charge, under the conditions listed below. All replaced parts become the property of
Rickman Trade Latvijas filiāle.

Terms

  1. If you experience a problem, please first consult the FAQ and help materials available on our website at
    litter-robot.lv/BUJ. If the issue remains unresolved, contact our customer service by email at rickman@rickman.lv or by
    phone at +371 62 004 005. Our support specialists will carry out an initial remote diagnosis (by email or phone).
    If the issue can’t be resolved remotely, we’ll send you the required replacement part free of charge,
    including shipping. The part can be installed by you, following the instructions provided by the
    manufacturer. There’s no need to take the unit to a service center.
  2. If the unit cannot be repaired through diagnostics or with parts, we will send you a replacement unit at no cost. The defective unit must be returned to us-we will cover the return shipping.
  3. To qualify for warranty service, the original invoice or purchase receipt must be submitted with your
    warranty request. It must show the purchase date, device model, and the name of the authorized reseller.
    If the request is made over the phone, you’ll be asked to send the receipt via email after initial diagnosis.
    Rickman Trade SIA reserves the right to deny free warranty service if the document is not provided or if
    the details are incomplete or illegible.
  4. Warranty Period:
    1. The warranty period starts from the date the product is handed over to the buyer. If the seller is obligated to deliver the product to the buyer, the warranty period starts from the date the buyer receives the device.
    2. For consumer sales (i.e., private individuals for non-commercial use), the warranty period is 2 years.
    3. For legal entities, the warranty period is 1 year.
  5. The warranty is void if the device has been modified.
  6. This warranty does not limit or affect the consumer’s legal rights.
    If the product does not conform to the agreement, the buyer has the right to use all legal remedies against
    the seller. This warranty is an additional layer of protection and does not replace legal rights.
    If the device is taken outside Latvia, the warranty remains valid under these terms. However, the customer
    is responsible for any shipping costs related to replacement parts or the unit.
  7. The warranty does not cover:
    1. Modifications or adaptations of the product for purposes other than those stated in the user manual;
    2. Damage resulting from misuse, including but not limited to:
      • Using the device for an unintended purpose;
      • Installation or use not compliant with local technical or safety standards;
        (Importing the product into a country where it requires local approval is at the user’s own risk and may be illegal.)
  8. If you have questions or disagreements, we always aim to resolve them through direct communication. If no agreement is reached within 14 calendar days, consumers (private individuals buying for personal use) have the right to submit a complaint to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre: Website: www.ptac. gov.lv, Email: pasts@ptac.gov.lv, Address: Brīvības iela 55, Rīga, LV-1010 In business-to-business transactions, disputes will be handled under the general terms of the purchase agreement.
